I get all my items together first
This is the image plate I'm using
Once you choose the image, you take your polish and and cover the image.
Then with your scraper, you scrape over the image, removing the excess polish
Then with your stamper, you place the rubber part and press, transferring the image to your stamper
Excuse the pup hair, I didn't remove it before I took the pic, eeek
Finally, all you do, is place the stamper above your nail, where you want the image to appear on your nail, and in a rolling motion, press it onto your nail.
The best tip for stamping, is to only use 100% acetone. After you stamp, wipe the scraper and stamper onto a cotton ball/pad, that has been soaked in acetone. I use a green coaster, and pre-soak the cotton pad in acetone, and set it onto the coaster. Then after I scrape, I swipe the scraper onto the pad, removing the polish, and then after I stamp, I wipe the stamper on the pad as well. You should also clean the image plate in between each stamp. Although I'm guilty of not doing this, lol. Oh and you do need to work fairly quick, because the polish, since being so thin on your stamper, dries quick.
Here I did the rest of my nails, and then did it over again with China Glaze Millenium.
Once I'm done, I take my mani double pointed q-tips, dip them in acetone, and clean up the excess polish from stamping, around my nails. I then do a coat of SV, and TADA
Last of all, I added tips in OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Matte
VERY cute! I'm usually not a Konad fan but you may have just made me a believer.

ReplyDeleteIs the only way to buy a Konad plate online? Or are there any other cheaper alternatives one can buy in-stores?
too cute!
ReplyDeleteThat's it, I'm going on Amazon right now and ordering a Konad package. Love this look for V-Day!
ReplyDeleteThanks girls!!!

ReplyDeleteAmazing combination of colors,I have some Konad plates, but prefer to use it for pedi. Definitely, will give it another try:)
ReplyDeleteCan I ask what is the number of the plate do you use? Love the lips:)

ReplyDeletethis image plate is awesome!
Thanks girls!!!
ReplyDeleteJadestar, HEY!!! Yeah, a few other girls on MUA talked me into starting my own blog, and I'm so glad they did and that you found me!
Lydiane, That does sound like fun. I don't know if I could go even a week, lol. But that would def keep me feeling challeneged.
Hlopushka, thanks!! This was plate BM02.
love the chrome lips! too cute :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Enamel Girl!!
ReplyDeleteOK,I am firmly convinced that you have the steady hands of a surgeon.
ReplyDeleteLOVE YOU!!
(kickyouonce on MUA)
This is super cute..I have to share with my friends.
ReplyDeleteThis is SOOOO cute! Thanks for the how to! I showed my SO and he seems to think this is so awesome, so maybe I can talk him into some V-day treats - aka nail polish and stamps! lol Love this!
ReplyDeleteThanks you guys!!
ReplyDeleteSatori, Aww, thanks, but I wish!!!
Crystal, you're very welcome!! He should def treat you to some V-Day mani fun!!!!
I love it! Don't you ruin your mani while cleaning the stamper and plates? Do you use tweezers or something to grab it? I've never done any stamping so please excuse my ignorance.
ReplyDeleteThanks Maroxx! No, I on't seem to ruin my mani. I leave the soaked cotton pad on my coaster, and just wipe my stamper and scraper on that, so I don't have to touch the pad. I'm really bad at not wiping my plate afer every stamp, probably for fear of ruining my mani, lol
ReplyDeleteHow do you get the regular nailpolishes so opaque for the konad? I've tried everything and it never turns out. I am in love with your mani's. This is my newest addiction.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI need some help!
I'm having problems with my Konad. Apparently I have no clue on how to use it! hahaha
Well, when I scrape over the image to remove the excess nail polish it just removes all of it... O_o I'm so confused. Is there a specific nail polish I should be using o something? I'm dying to use it!!! :/ Any help you can give me will be really appreciated!
Thanks,
Noelia
Amanda, thanks!!! The best polishes to Konad with are one that are opaque in 1 coat. I love the Sally Hansen insta Dris, Wet n' Wild black cream and holos. The holos work best over blackened colors.
ReplyDeleteNoelia, it sounds as if you might not have removed the very thin plastic covering that comes on all the plates. It won't even look like it has one, but it does. If you I'd that, are making sure to use 100% acetone?
I have tried to remove that thin plastic covering but I don't see one! Do they all have it?
ReplyDeleteNo, it's not pure acetone... I that a really a problem?
If it's a Konad or Bundle Monster or Born pretty plate it does have a think plastic covering. Try a tooth pick, I know that helps get it going. Trust me, it's there, but it's soooooo thin. Also pure acetone is a must, anything else will make the polish smear when you scrape it, and make the transfer a lot harder onto the stamper.
ReplyDeleteIt's a Konad! I'm gonna try again to find that plastic cover!!!! Thanks alot! And I need to buy some pure acetone.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out so cute!
ReplyDeleteNailtoshy, yeah it is a pain, I was convinced mine didn't have one either, I got so frustrated that my hubby took it away, found it and removed it, lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks Polished components!
I need to find a hubby so he can do that for me! Cause I'm really frustrated!!!! lol
ReplyDeleteThis design is really beautiful. Thanks for inspiring to try Konad :D
ReplyDeleteNoliotoshy, Haha, I did too. I hope you were able to remove it!!
ReplyDeleteToks, thank you! I'm glad you're going to give it a chance!
i couldnt find that specific konad plate, where did you get it from? and i noticed your not using konad nailpolish, what other nailpolishes can work with konad?
ReplyDeleteItis actaully a Bundle Monster plate. BM02, you can find these on Amazon :) For Konading, I love any chrome, Sally Hanses Insta-Dri's, holos, but only over a blackish color, really anything that is a 1 coater, will work great :)
ReplyDeleteWhen i try and use the stamp the deisgn never sticks to it. I am using everything like yours in the picture. I took the plastic off and i have tried a few different polishes, but it just seems like after i scrape it takes all the polish off. Are there some plates that have the design cut in deeper or maybe is it the stamper i got?
ReplyDeleteHmmm...and you did remove the plastic film? That's weird, but I do know some women prefer to actually use a Credt Card to scrape, since it is somehow taking all the polish off the plate. If you're having issues stamping, then, try taking a file to the stamper, just a little bit.
ReplyDeleteOh and 1 more thing, you need make sure you're working fairly quickly. If you're waiting to long to scrape, then the polish could be drying and coming off completely when you scrape.
ReplyDeletethere are billion comments here so sorry if i'm asking something that was already mentioned- but can you use any nail polish with the palettes and stamper or is there a special kind you should use?
ReplyDeleteHAVEuEVER, there are a few regular brands you can use. I list them in my FAQ tab up above :)
ReplyDeleteYes, i took the plastic off. The polish doesn't come off of the actual design it just seems that the polish doesn't stick to my stamper. I will try the file tip you gave me today, thank you!
ReplyDeleteSo you don't HAVE to use their little nail polishes for the images??
ReplyDeleteI ordered the Bundle Monster Nail Art Nailart Polish Stamp Stamping Manicure Image Plates Accessories Set Kit 21pc
ReplyDeleteDo you know if this BM02 image plate you have is included in the 21pc kit I just ordered? (I'm loving the lips!!)
I am not 100%, but if you got it off of Amazon, then they have pics of the plates that come in each set. I know there were a few different kits, when I ordered.
ReplyDeleteThe lips are in the amazon kit I just got mine in the mail today but I'm having some trouble getting it to stick to my stamper I'm going to keep working at it though.
ReplyDeleteI did the file to the stamper tip cause my images wouldn't stick to the stamper and now they do! Woohoo I'm Gettin my stampin on!
ReplyDeleteVee, YAY, I'm so glad it's working now! Have fun :)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I just came across it from pintrest. I have the stamper and I have a problem getting the entire image onto the nail, do you have any tips for that problem? thanks:0)
ReplyDeleteOMG ! love your blog , i'm from Brazil , and my parenst love your blog ! very nice ! thanks :)
ReplyDeletehi there! i saw in another post of yours that you think the Sally Hansen Color Quick Chrome Pens work really well for konading. I am just wondering if you feel the basic sally hansen nail art pens will suffice as well? i would imagine so, but better to ask an expert :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Hello ! What do u use to make your nails so shiny ?
ReplyDeleteHi, is it okay to use any nail polish to stamp the images? Because I heard the images don't stick unless you use te special konad polish :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know about other polish that can be used on the plates. I was about ready to buy a white konad "special" polish. then I tried the white that i have and whala it is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the matte tip!!! It really brings the look to a new level!
ReplyDeleteVery Cute!
ReplyDeleteI love this stamping, But am having trouble having colors show up on a dark undercoat.. Is there a certain polish type that you use for these to show up so well?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
I have the same problem! I have a hard time to get the polish to stick and when it does, to actually show. I've been looking for China Glaze Millennium, because seems to be a great chrome silver, but I can't find it. :-(
DeleteThe Sally Hnsen Insta Dri one in Silver Sweep works as good as CG Millenium! I have both and I am very imressed with The Silver Sweep one.
DeleteI love all of your nail art. I hope you are feeling better. Thanks for all the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Amazing! I am totally blown away by the stuff i've seen on here, you have MAJOR skills, and I am completely envious of your talent and just how beautiful your fingers look..
ReplyDeleteI have such a hard time growing my nails, and I have always been a biter so even when I get my nails to grow, around them always looks like crap. But your hands are gorgeous, and once again you are VERY talented..Kudos!
OMG you weren't kidding this SV stuff is AWESOME!!! I have never been able to wear a color on my nails w/out it either chipping on the ends throughout the day or it smudging cuz it didn't dry all the way. I have my fav purple on my nails for over 24 hrs now w/out a single chip and its shiny as anything. THANK YOU! Also got the glass file its awesome too. My nails are slowly getting there, I hope they will look as nice as yours someday =)
DeleteI absolutely love this! I am new to the stampers (thanks to your blog). My first attempt was an epic fail. I loved the tutorial and now I'm not afraid to try stamping again. Do you rough up your stamper? I read that on a site and was worried about ruining it.
ReplyDeleteI had this manicure in the back of my mind ever since I first saw it on your blog. But then I couldn't remember where it was so I tried it from memory. Finally when I found your post, I noticed that I swapped the shiny and matte parts on the nail. Still looks neat but I think I like yours better :D http://www.flickr.com/photos/anitza/6867947611
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your wonderful ideas!
